Country Garden Design The Country Escape
Project Story
Designed by Rebecca Morgan
Shelter and softness define The Country Escape. Natural materials, mature planting and a stronger sense of enclosure create a calm country garden that feels removed from the pace of the home while remaining closely connected to daily life outside.

The challenge, our solution and our approach
The Challenge
The garden needed to feel more settled and purposeful while retaining the ease and softness expected of a country setting. It required enough structure for everyday use, enough planting to create atmosphere and privacy, and enough restraint to avoid competing with the wider landscape.
Our Solution
The scheme is organised as a sequence of composed outdoor spaces. Routes, terraces and planted edges create an intuitive structure, while naturalistic planting gives the garden softness, seasonal movement and a greater sense of maturity. The result is a garden that feels private and restorative, but still practical for day-to-day life outside.
In Detail
Our Approach
A successful country garden should not feel forced. The Country Escape is positioned around atmosphere, maturity and the relationship between structure and softness. The design language is deliberately calm: natural materials, layered borders and measured transitions between the main outdoor spaces.
The strength of the project is not a single feature, but the way several decisions work together. Planting creates intimacy, materials keep the scheme grounded, and the layout gives the garden a sense of movement without making it feel formal. This makes the project a useful reference for clients looking for a country garden that feels considered rather than styled.
